Don’t look at me like that, every girl needs a vice or two. 

Besides, you’re the one who taught me how to smoke anyway. 

It’s just, the funeral… it’s taken such a toll on me. It was all so… sudden. Somehow, it still doesn’t feel real, that he’s gone. 

Listen, I-I haven’t told anyone this before. But, I am going to tell you now.

The reason for your father’s death, Luke. It wasn’t a heart attack. It was… me. It was me. I killed him. Luke, I killed him and it was so- it was so… easy. 

Poison. Strychnine in his whiskey, on one of those nights where I knew he’d make me sit and drink with him – god I hated those nights when he’d make me sit and drink with him – and I…I did it. 

I put it in his glass and he took it from me and now… he’s gone. 

Luke, your father’s gone. Now… we can be together!

You said it yourself, if it weren’t for your father, you wouldn’t have to care about any of it. Not your money or your status or your family. Me. You said I was the only thing that mattered to you, ever since I arrived the week after my wedding. 

But Luke, your father’s gone now! We don’t have to remain here anymore! We can leave, and get as far away from this place as we can before they come for me and-

Why aren’t you saying anything? 

I thought you’d be happy. Aren’t you?

Luke, I did it for us. 

I did it for you.

Why won’t you look at me? Where are you going? Luke? Luke! 

You’re really not gonna run with me?  

If you won’t run with me before they come for me then… I guess you’ll just have to die with me.

Illustration and Visual Narrative - Project 1

 1st September 2023 - 10th October 2023 (Week 1 - Week 7) Asma' Binti Mohd Jailani / 0354335 / Bachelor of Mass Communication (Honours)  Illustration and Visual Narrative Task 1B / Vormator Challenge At the beginning of our semester, Mr Hafiz informed us about the Vormator Challenge that would make up part of our assessment. During our first class, we started off by tracing the Vormator Challenge shapes with the pen tool.  Figure 1.1: Vormator shape tracings (Week 2)  We were then told to come up with a monster/creature using these Vormator shapes, and to apply the Adobe Illustrator exercise techniques that we would be learning in the upcoming weeks, to our final Vormator creature.  Personally, I don't think I'm the most creative person when it comes to character design, but I knew that I wanted to do something cute. Illustration and Visual Narrative - Exercises
